Swim Club: Love and Pride (M2M AP)

The swim club keeps recruiting new members. Originally published to DeviantArt in December 2018.

Andy was at the age now where he was starting to get feelings for other boys. Shy boys, skinny boys, even the occasional chubby boy, but most of the boys around him were either not interested in him, or they were only interested in girls.

He'd even once set his sights on the Swim Club - boys so big and muscular they looked more like men. Andy could have sworn they must have been held back a couple of grades.

It was for this reason he couldn't hold his concentration at swimming practice. Every time he turned at the end of a length, he had to turn his head the other way to keep looking at the Swim Club boys.

He'd learned their names accidentally from when he'd spent way too long staring at the team photo. There was Erin, the super-serious one, and Sam, the really playful one (though only his friends got to call him Sammy). Jay was the multi-athletic one, who doubled up as a member of the track and field team. Mike and Luca were the twins who were adorably inseparable from each other. And then there was Shaun, the heart of the team, and Tyler who was its soul, both of whom were about to go off to college this summer. They'd need new people coming in soon to replace them, and they both had very big shoes to fill.

But he'd never actually spoken to any of them until one day at the end of his afternoon session in the Junior Swim Club, which no one took at all seriously. Most people in it only joined because 8th graders had to pick a sports elective.

He had stayed for a while after the practice ended so he could watch the seniors goofing off in their half of the pool. Sam was in the water, swimming between Erin and the twins, who had taken possession of one of Sam's shirts. They were standing at the edge of the pool, throwing it back and forth between each other. Whenever Sam got close to the one with they shirt, they'd throw it along to someone else, and Sam would have to swim in the opposite direction to get it.

"C'mon Sammy, we're gonna keep doing this until you beat your best lap time."

"Seriously guys?" said Sam, mimicking the tone of a gym teacher. "You throw like a bunch of grade schoolers. Put some wrist into it!"

After a while, one of the twins got bored, and the other twin went along with him, which left only Erin to throw the shirt by himself.

"Here you go, buddy," he said. And he threw the shirt to Sam before following Mike and Luca to the changing rooms.

Sam moved frantically to where the shirt was going to be and only just managed to catch it in one hand to stop it going in the water. He evidently liked that shirt a lot.

The other guy was laughing, which was quite unusual for him.

"Erin, you bastard!" Sam shouted, but he was smiling too.

Andy, who had been sitting at the other end of the pool, Saw that Erin was coming his way and tried not to look like he was staring. He directed his eyes elsewhere, and that he glimpsed a small and shiny object by the side of the pool. It just happened to catch the light at the right moment.

Again, while trying not to seem like he was staring at the older swimmers, even though he was doing exactly that, he walked over and picked up the object. It was silver on one side and rainbow colored on the other - a small round badge that had the word 'LOVE' written on the rainbow side in big capital letters.

"Hey!" he called out as Sam was lifting himself out of the water. "Is this yours?"

Sam brought himself up to his full height and walked over to Andy, grinning and panting like a dog.

"Oh yeah, that must have fallen off my lucky shirt while the guys were throwing it."

"Cool. Um, do you want it back?" Andy managed to say despite the butterflies in his stomach telling him this was a stupid question. Truth be told, he sounded more like a nervous 3rd grader than an 8th grader, but Sam didn't seem to mind.

Andy held out his hand and offered it up to him. Sam took the badge and reattached to his shirt.

"Thanks," he said, with a smile so sweet that looking at it would surely give him diabetes.

"Uh, anytime," said Andy, suddenly very conscious of how squeaky his voice sounded.

"No really, we could do with more people like you in Swim Club."

"Huh - you must say that to a lot of people."

Andy could not stop staring at Sam's chest because looking him directly in the face was too intimidating.

"D'aww, you underrate yourself," said Sam. "You're a hell of a lot nicer than the three jackasses who stole my shirt. They're gonna get what's coming to 'em!"

He mimed snapping a towel a few times until Andy couldn't help but laugh.

"Anyway, see ya 'round, kid." And with that, Sam reached down and ruffled Andy's hair, then walked off to be with his buddies in the changing room.

Andy didn't know if it was possible to blush with his skin tone. But if it was, then he was definitely red in the face now.

Kid. Sam had called him kid. Not dude, or man, but kid.

He supposed it was better than not being noticed at all. But he surely didn't mean what he said about the Swim Club? Not the Junior league knock-off, but the real Swim Club. Andy had never really considered joining, but now he wanted to. Then again, Sam was never going to be interested in him. By the time he got old enough to be interesting, Sam would have already left the school.

It was then that his feet felt rooted to the floor. Had the few words he'd said to Sam drained out the last of his energy? He could very well have collapsed there and been found next morning, but his legs had other ideas.

A tingling sensation spread from his head to his toes, and he became un-stuck almost immediately. As if on autopilot, he began walking toward the changing rooms with a purpose he hadn't felt before. Nothing particular about it felt strange, except that his left leg seemed slightly longer than usual, and then his right leg felt even longer than that, then his left leg was longer still. And his head seemed a little higher off the ground than before. He was getting taller.

Andy stopped to pull up his black and blue striped swim shorts. The bow had come loose and they were beginning to slide down. They had always been a little big for him. Or had he just been disappointingly skinny?

Before he could process on a conscious level what was happening, Andy felt the beginnings of a sneeze. He looked up at the light, and soon he was past the point of no return. He sneezed with such gusto that it reverberated around the indoor pool. It was not easy to tell from the sound coming back at him, but it seemed like it a little deeper than usual. Did this mean his voice was finally changing? He hoped so!

A calming sensation washed over him as his body went through further changes. His upper torso tensed up and relaxed several times over. Each time it did the muscles grew a little bit bigger. His biceps and abs were doing the same, tensing and relaxing, tensing and relaxing...

Andy loved the way his body was feeling. He knew deep down that he was becoming stronger, maybe even older. It wasn't meant to happen this fast, but at the same time he knew it was nothing to fear.

Simultaneously he began for the first time to think seriously about joining the Swim Club.

He walked onward as his pectorals reached their final size, and then a thin clump of hair sprang out of his chest. More and coarser hair began to grow from his armpits, and many smaller hairs appeared all the way down his legs. And what marvelous legs they were - golden brown and bulging with muscles he never even thought he had.

He flexed his fingers, and he noticed how big his hands had gotten too. There wasn't a single part of him that wasn't growing. Closing his eyes, he could feel it happening to his face too, and the tips of his toes, his shoulders becoming broader than ever before, his Adam's apple showing for the first time. He definitely felt it between his legs.

Andy was so lost in the sensations of growth and renewal, which washed over him like healing waters, that he barely noticed the hair on his head, which until now he'd only ever kept in its natural style. But now the loose black curls were disappearing, reshaping themselves as the cornrows he'd always wanted to have. He rather liked the look and wanted to keep it.

Yet more hairs began to sprout from his lower body. This time it was a treasure trail from the belly button to somewhere below his swim shorts - the same striped swim shorts that used to feel so loose on him. They were changing too now - melting into him and changing shape, leaving him to wonder if they'd got tighter or if he'd simply outgrown them. The blue and black stripes were merging into one color, until he was wearing navy blue speedos, just like Sammy's.

They were a little tight on him, perhaps - the outline of his package was clearly visible. He'd grown so much in the last year that he desperately needed to get new ones, if only so everything down there would have room to breathe.

That was strange - he couldn't seem to remember what he'd said to Sammy just now. His memory rarely ever failed him at times like this, but since he'd only recently joined the Swim Club, he knew there'd be a lifetime of new adventures and memories to forge with them. Shaun and Ty were already training him to be their replacement. And as the newest member of the team, he couldn't help but feel a little out of place, but they had all done so much to make him feel welcome, he just knew they would be his friends for life.

He hoped they'd still be waiting there when he got changed because he loved nothing more than to hang out with them. And as luck would have it, some of them were still lingering in the shower area.

Sammy was up to his usual games, snapping a towel at the twins. No wonder they were so late.

Andy tried not to look at Sammy's dick while he ambled over to the showers, even though he was sure he'd himself earned a peek after today's practice.

"Oh grow up," he muttered to Sammy, who was red in the face from all the towel-snapping.

Andy was suddenly very conscious of how deep and throaty his voice sounded, but thought nothing of it. He pulled off his overtight speedos at long last and allowed the hot water to cascade over his golden body.

This was bliss. Coming back to the showers after a long and difficult practice session was the best thing he'd felt all day.

Moments later, he was wrapped in his towel and examining the contents of his locker. On the opposite bench, Sammy pulled his lucky shirt over his head. He looked cute with that on, Andy decided, though not as cute as he looked with it off.

As he pulled his tank top from his locker, he noticed something had fallen from it - a small round pin badge with metal on one side and rainbow colored stripes on the other, and big capital letters that spelled out the word 'PRIDE.'

Good thing he'd spotted it. He wouldn't have wanted to lose a thing like that.
