Swim Club: Gaining Confidence (double F2M TG)

The boys' senior swim team are so desperate for new members, they begin recruiting girls. Luckily everything works out in the end.

"C'mon Mika, only three more lengths left to go!" said Jamila.

"That's what *GASP* you said *GASP* five minutes ago!" her friend said between strokes, swimming her level best to catch up with Jamila, but failing miserably.

Jamila grew tired of waiting on the pool edge for Mika to finish her lap, and dived back in, sending ripples of cold water over her.

"Jay quit *GASP* showing off!" she cried. It was all Jamila could do not to laugh.

It was after hours in the school pool, and the place was deserted at this time. Most people had finished their lessons and extracurriculars for the day. They would return their home to stick their heads in front of a screen and allow themselves to be passively amused. But not these people. Ever since the Aquatics Center closed down, the school pool was the only place to train without driving all the way into Orlando. That was part of the reason why Jamila and Kimika had scheduled an impromptu training session for today.

Jamila, the older of the two by about a few months, swiveled her head in the pool to look for any signs of life coming from the sauna room because she knew in her heart that they hadn't just come here to train.

It also happened that she liked it when the competitive swimmers from Boys' Senior Swim Club liked came here in the evenings, often to goof off amongst themselves. They were such an audacious bunch, the way they flexed their six-packs and had their little play-fights in the water when they thought nobody else was watching. They were also here to practice, but they were always better at having fun. The team captain, Tyler, knew this. And he would purposefully book longer practice sessions than they needed, given the way they only spent about half their in the pool training.

The Senior Boys' Swim Club was the stuff of legend in Sanford High. All that fun splashing around was done for a good reason though, as it turned out to be really great for keeping up team morale. Not only that, but their social lives depended on it.

Despite being revered by the rest of the school, this quartet of athletic young men could actually be quite shy around most of their peers. The only close friendships they had were with each other. When Jamila first found out about this, she found it super-cute and wished she could be the first one to infiltrate their little group. It must be lonely with just the four of them.

Jamila herself was quite a serious swimmer herself and had been training hard ever since grade school, but she hadn't won any major competitions yet. It wasn't right that those four had better lap times than her, merely by virtue of them being boys. She bet that if she had even half as much testosterone in her body, she beat them hands-down.

Ever the opportunist, she still selected her practice sessions to coincide perfectly with times when the boys were in the water. It didn't bother them at all to see a girl training with them, even though she was hyper-competitive a lot of the time, and almost certainly had a crush on some of them. Either way, the pool was big enough for everyone. Today she'd even brought along her best friend Kimika for a bit of 'sight-seeing'. Both of them had their own favorite swimmer to have a crush on, and it helped that they weren't competing for the same person.

Jamila liked Sam the most (or Sammy, to his closest friends), recognizable by his fluffy, fair hair. He was always the brash, fun-loving one, so powerful in the water, yet kind of clumsy on dry land, almost like a happy little puppy in a grown-up dog's body.

Kimika, on the other hand, was more favorable to Erin, who was such a hunk, he made that name sound like the most masculine name in the world. He had joined the Swim club at the same time as Sam, and they still had this adorable big-brother/mentoring relationship going on with each other.

Unfortunately, their two main crushes were not in the water today. They had gone into the sauna for something of a 'team meeting' with the other two. That left the two girls to swim lengths by themselves in the vague hope of staying around long enough to catch a glimpse of the boys strutting about in their trunks afterward.

Jamila was entering competitions anyway, she needed the practice. It was Kimika who was getting considerably less fun out of this. She'd never been the most athletic girl in class. As a little kid, she'd never had much encouragement to exercise. And with all the weight she put on in childhood, she'd ended up hitting puberty far earlier than usual. That might have sounded like a good thing - having two plump breasts to be proud of while everyone else in her grade was in training bras. But the sad reality was that her flabby stomach outweighed both of them.

She hated the way people in class used to laugh at her jiggling body in gym class, especially when it was the other girls. They'd given her permanent self-esteem issues, until one day she'd finally decided to stop caring about the way she looked. It had been quite liberating for a while, but every time she got in the pool reminded her of how unfit she was. She knew it was shortening her lifespan, but the motivation to improve just wasn't there.

She felt a disturbance in the water as Jamila overtook her yet again.

Jamila felt bad for her friend, but she couldn't slow herself down on Mika's account. She needed the practice more than ever to stand a reasonable chance at qualifying in the state championships. The school had only recently announced that they were going to cut funding to extracurricular activities next year, starting with the Swim Club. This was probably her last chance to enter because there would not even be a ladies' team next year. Qualifying was either now or never.

But no matter how hard she pushed herself, she still couldn't beat her personal best lap time. Jamila knew she was overexerting herself and stood little chance of qualifying this year. But admitting this simple fact would be to give up. Maybe there was nothing to better do other than wait for the next big competition and hope for the best.

They both came to a rest at the same time, panting and gripping the side of the pool, at the same time as four young men in swim trunks strolled out of the sauna room looking thoroughly refreshed if a little concerned.

"Hey guys," said Tyler, the oldest member of the team, who was also the captain. He called everyone guys, regardless of their gender.

"Well, you sure have been training for a long time," said Shaun, in the black trunks. He was the strong and silent type, but also the best at talking to girls. "I mean, you're a whole lot more dedicated than I realized."

"Thanks!" said Jamila.

"Yeah... something like that," remarked Mika, still panting as she held onto the pool's edge, trying to find a subtle way of staring at the bulges in their swim trunks. Jamila began distracting them with small talk.

"So, what did you guys get up to in there?"

Uh oh, that sounded dangerously like flirting... although that was not a bad thing per se.

"We've just been having a team meeting," said Tyler.

"Oh?"

"Yeah..." said Sam, whose face was the reddest of all of them. "I don't suppose you've heard the big news?"

"What's that?" asked Kimika.

"Well, we're thinking of starting a water polo team!"

"But," said Tyler, "we need more members, otherwise we won't get the funding for any of it."

"How many people do you need on the team?" asked Kimika.

"Seven people including the goalie, plus up to six substitutes," said Tyler. "But it's not easy to get that many. Most guys are only interested in playing football. So far we haven't had any new signups."

"Aw, that's too bad," she said.

"Tell me about it," said Erin, who had been quiet until now. "I've said at this point, we'll take pretty much anyone."

"Yeah, even the girls!" Sam piped up. The rest of them laughed.

"Ha! You'd be lucky to have on of us on your team," said Jamila.

"Like I say, we'll take pretty much anyone," said Erin, which prompted even more laughs from the Swim Club.

The only one who wasn't laughing was Shaun, who considered this for a second, then said:

"For what it's worth," he said. "This school definitely doesn't have the funding for a separate girls' team."

"I guess we could have a mixed team," said Jamila, thinking that if she cross-trained it could double her chances of winning competitions.

"Actually, if you wanted to join us on the men's team, you'd be more than welcome."

"Seriously?"

The echo of her voice rang out across the walls of the indoor swimming pool. For a moment, nobody made a sound.

"Hey, I'ma go get a cold shower," said Sam.

"Sounds like a great idea," Erin said. "I'm coming too." And he slung his arm over his best friend's shoulder, as casually as anything. Sammy seemed to like it. And in that moment, they looked closer to each other than if they had been brothers.

A moment later the team captain Tyler followed alongside them, looking over his shoulder at the two girls.

"Well, are you coming?" he asked.

"Yeah, I think so," said Jamila. She felt a bit uneasy about saying it. But this was what she wanted, wasn't it - to befriend the Swim Club boys? Why were they making it so damn easy for her?

She thought this might be a mean prank or something. But then she thought about Erin rubbing shower gel on Sam's muscular back and decided that whatever it was, it was worth the risk.

She pulled herself out of the pool and took off her swim cap, allowing her unruly mop of black hair to hang loose about her shoulders. Then she followed them briskly to the shower area.

Without noticing, her strides grew longer as she walked. She wondered why she was finding it difficult to keep balance. Then, to add to that feeling of strangeness, her one-piece swimsuit felt tighter around her shoulders than usual, but still somewhat loose about her hips.

The shower area was unisex, thank goodness. Washing herself off while surrounded by three hunks in swim shorts sounded like her idea of heaven, but Jamila was still a little nervous to go there, in case they might pull a fast one on her. She was just about to fetch her favorite herbal shampoo and shower gel from her locker when Erin leaned over the towel rail and offered a bottle of bright green liquid to her instead.

"Huh?"

"From now on, you shower like the rest of us," he said, uncapping the bottle and squirting a dollop of it into his palm. He motioned for her to do the same. It appeared to be a brand of men's shower gel, judging by the tangy smell and by the label on the bottle.

She almost felt a little intimidated by Erin's offer. He was, after all, a great deal taller than her. But his semi-slouched posture made it difficult to tell. It almost looked like they were the same height as each other.

Jamila twisted on the faucet, allowing herself to get nice and wet before taking her own squirt of the shower gel, and vigorously rubbing it over her dark skin.

She turned around, rubbed it into her armpits when she felt - to her own horror and surprise - tiny wiry hairs sprouting up there. She must have forgotten to shave today. Then again, what was wrong with a little underarm fluff? Plenty of boys had it too.

But there was no time to think about hair anymore. Her whole body tingled with warmth, intensifying the most in every place the water touched. At first, she thought the water was getting hotter, but more of the heat was coming from within her. It was the most comforting feeling she had ever known, and it was made even more perfect by the fact she was surrounded by three dudes, who were just the nicest people she had ever met. She hadn't really known them all that long, but it already felt like Sam, Tyler, and Erin were her close friends now. They didn't feel the need to act like gentlemen around her. They more or less accepted her as one of the guys.

"Ahhh..." she said, as the water soaked into her long hair, noticing while she did so that her voice slid down to a lower pitch and an Adam's apple popped out from under her chin.

Jay reached up to examine her new change in form, embarrassed that it had happened so suddenly. She looked around and caught the eyes of Erin and Sam, who set her mind at ease with a simple grin and a thumbs up, the non-verbal cues that this was a perfectly normal and natural thing to happen, especially when joining the Swim Club.

Only one club member hadn't yet joined them in the showers. Where the hell was Shaun?

-

Shaun meanwhile was still hanging out by the pool with Mika.

"Well, are you coming too?" he said to her.

Mika was still holding onto the pool's edge, not wanting to get out, but not wanting to carry on swimming either.

"Me? Coming where?"

Shaun chuckled.

"To join the team, silly."

Kimika thought he was joking.

"No thanks," she said quickly. "It's not as if I'd be very good on a team. It was all Jay's idea to come here. Plus, I..."

"Never mind that. Do you want to be on a team?"

It was Kimika's turn to laugh.

"I am serious," said Shaun.

"Sorry, I didn't realize," she replied. "But do you really have room on your team for fat Asian girls like me?"

"We have room for Asian girls of all shapes and sizes. Once you join, it really doesn't matter who you are, just that you're willing to give it your all."

Kimika sneered again.

"Really? Wow! Then I guess I'll bring my 10-year-old sister. She's probably a lot better at this than I am."

Shaun appeared to consider this for a moment.

"If you can get her to come along to practice, then why not? I don't see why she too can't have a spot on the team too."

"You can't be serious!"

"I am not the one who jokes," he said. Then he turned around to look her in the eye. "Now, what I see in you is a severe lack of confidence. That needs to change before you join our team. Is that clear?"

Kimika found herself nodding at his request. Maybe this meant more to her than she first anticipated, but it was probably just a waste of time. Still, just to prove that she hadn't just nodded along with him facetiously, she let go of the pool edge and began to swim another length.

"That's more like it," said Shaun. "Why the sudden change of heart? You feeling competitive with your little sister?"

Shut up, she thought, but she didn't say it. She wasn't going to let him know it was getting to her. She was just going to swim the way she saw them do it, taking huge great strokes with her arms and legs, churning the water with her every movement.

Mika felt clumsy at first doing this, but soon she began to pick up speed. She was better at this than she realized. Her body fat wasn't slowing her down quite as much as she thought. Instead, she was feeling surprisingly warm, especially around her stomach region, where the heat seemed to be radiating out from.

The fat padding around her arms felt different too somehow, and on her legs. It was firming up and contracting, almost like muscle. That might have been because it was. When did her arms and legs become so powerful? It must have been the workouts she'd been giving them every day by carrying all that extra weight on herself. Or maybe it was just magic. Either way, she very much liked the result.

Her backside was the next thing about her to change. It had been her secret shame for too long that she had to go to a specialist store to buy panties. But now, once so full of sag and squelch, it contracted into a finely toned mass of muscle. It was a truly lovely butt now. Mika wanted to admire it in the mirror, but she kept on swimming because she knew it was doing her good, and it was what she had to do.

She pushed off from the side and began another length. This time she felt the water rushing against her chest. Her nipples were chafing and they felt sore. In truth, she really hated having these breasts. They slowed her down in the water, and she would be so much free and easier without them.

As if in answer to these concerns, her chest began to pulsate beneath the water, shrinking inwardly at first, and then growing back as plump pectoral muscles. Mika could have screamed with joy, but instead, she carried on swimming, her streamlined body becoming more powerful with every passing second. Her big paunchy stomach grew smaller and smaller as she felt the prickling of tiny hairs.

Ooh, body hair! Mama's little boy is growing up!

Wait, 'boy?' When had anyone ever called her that? She seemed to remember it though. And she couldn't deny it made a lot of sense, given that her newly transforming figure was more man than woman at this point.

Her legs and arms were not only getting stronger but getting longer as well. Her shoulders and chest broadened into the proportions befitting an elite adult athlete.

The only thing slowing her down was her swimsuit. It no longer needed to be so big and baggy, and it was only slowing her down. On the next push-off however, it shrank back entirely and the top half of it disappeared. Now it was just a loose-fitting pair of maroon red speedos, tightly hugging her from behind.

On her last length, she felt the blood rushing into the naughty place between her legs. Something inside her was growing, pushing out of her. It wanted to be free.

At the end of the length, she heaved herself up and over the side, then stood up, examining the telltale bulge that had appeared in her groin...

Of course, now that she was turning into a man, it made sense that she'd have a man-sized dinger down there as well. He reached in and scratched himself for a second, making sure to stop before he got turned on by himself.

Yes, having a body like this felt good. No wonder the Swim Club liked to spend so much time around each other without clothes on.

Wait, where had they gone to? He was the last one leaving the pool. Micah sidled up to the shower area, pausing only to admire his reflection in a chromed metal railing. His many sagging chins were gone now, and instead, he had one of those cute Asian boy faces. But the body below was all man.

As he flexed a muscle, someone from behind tapped him on the shoulder.

"Who are you," Micah said in an unusually deep voice to the stranger.

"Dude, it's me, Jay."

Micah almost didn't recognize his best friend, but then again he looked a little different from when he saw him last. He was taller, his face had gotten manlier. The body language had not changed much, but all traces of femininity from his figure were gone. Furthermore, his bushy black hair was cut back to his scalp, just short enough to show the dark skin below. Jamal was looking like a whole new man today.

"Sorry man, I thought you were someone else," said Micah, giving his pal a friendly thump on the chest.

His best friend responded with a casual slap on the back.

"By the way," said Jay. "Next practice session's on Wednesday. Shaun mentioned you wanting to bring your sister. I'ma just say that sounds like a good idea. I'd love to see how she swims."

"She'll hate it," said Micah, "But I dare say we'll make a swimmer out of her yet."

"Awesome. By the way, do you want a ride home? I'm going that way anyway."

"Nah, I think I'll walk. Walking's healthier."

"Okay, see ya Wednesday," said Jay. Then before leaving the room, he said, "Oh, I almost forgot."

"Forgot what?"

"Are you any good at playing defense?"

"Huh?"

"For the water polo team,"

"Oh, right. Sure. I am," said Micah.

"Great, now all we need is a goalie."
